15+ years designing and operating networks from submarine cables to 5G RAN. Now translating deep telecom expertise into cloud infrastructure — bridging the physical network world with AWS architecture.
I started my career integrating 2G and 3G network elements at Nokia in Lisbon, learning how networks are built from the ground up — not just operated, but designed and understood at a deep technical level.
Over the next 15 years I worked across the full telecom stack — from submarine cable optical systems at Alcatel-Lucent in London, to radio network analysis at O2/Telefonica, to 5G RAN design and planning at Nokia, to data centre build operations supporting VMO2 and 3UK across the UK.
Today I'm making a deliberate move into cloud network engineering — bringing everything I know about how real networks work to the infrastructure that powers the next generation of connectivity. Currently pursuing the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification and building real infrastructure projects on AWS.
